It is our shared responsibility to help consumers make an informed dietary choice. Towards this, we work with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to support The Eat Right Movement (TERM) and reformulate our products by reducing salt/sodium, added sugar and fat in our food categories.

2. Sustainable Food Ecosystem: To fulfil the needs of millions in a more responsible & sustainable manner.

The company works towards achieving affordable nutrition that is also accessible to vulnerable populations all across various groups including the aspirational districts, remote and tribal areas etc,. The company focuses on

Safe Food and Healthy Eating

ITC Foods has voluntarily participated in the ‘Eat Right Campus’ campaign, as institutionalized by the FSSAI and Government of India. Currently, 9 of our ICMLs are Eat Right certified.

 

3. Community Health Initiatives: Improving nutritional status through CSR Initiatives

ITC contributes to the betterment of vulnerable populations and address the malnutrition issues through its CSR initiatives by leveraging the structure and function of the current ‘Swasthya Chaupal’ flagship. With a broader focus on improving the nutritional and health status of children and women across life stages. The platforms include anaemia, malnutrition, nutrition for first 1000 days, behavior change intervention, nutrient intervention, fortification etc.

One of the first ever nutrition specific CSR of ITC, focuses on improving the nutritional status of women with behavior change communication and help reduce anemia amongst adolescent girls with a specialized product intervention.

 

4. Consumer and Employee Awareness Initiatives- Improving the Health & Wellbeing

  • ITC supports consumers, employees & customers across the value chain in their journey of learning on how to adopt healthier food choices and an active lifestyle.
  • ITC continues support through various initiatives that are aligned with National initiatives such as Poshan Abhiyaan, Rastriya Poshan Maah, Mission Poshan 2.0 etc.
  • The Company continues to reach out to consumers via various communication platforms (websites, integrated brand initiatives, specific health and hygiene messages) to enhance their awareness on key health issues across life stages (key platforms being immunity, healthier life with Ayurveda, gut health, cognition and bone health etc.) and help them live their life to the fullest.
  • ITC fully supports breastfeeding mothers which enables them to provide the healthiest start to their baby with ITC’s responsible HR policies.
